DESCRIPTION:For 35 years the United Way Coastal & Western CT has helped students from struggling families in Greater New Milford towns begin their school year feeling prepared and self-confident.  This program continues due to the dedication of volunteers and generous donors. \nItems needed for each book bag: \nBelow are quantities of items typically packed in each bookbag.(Quantities of items may vary slightly depending upon grade) \n#2 pencils –  3 dozen\, Ballpoint pens – 3 dozen\, Hi-Lighters – 2 packages\, Colored pencils – 2 packages\, Crayons – 2 boxes\, Washable Markers – 1 package\, Composition notebooks – 3 minimum\, Spiral bound notebooks – 6 minimum\, 2-Pocket folders – 10 minimum\nItems NOT needed: Backpacks\, 3-ring binders\, Calendars or journals\, reusable water bottles \n If you prefer to donate individual items\, i.e.\, 12 boxes of pens or pencils\, 50 folders\, etc.   That’s GREAT!
